American Home Surfaces Group (AHSG) and Commercial USA raised $16,700 for the Floor Covering Industry Foundation (FCIF) during the two groups’ recent member summit in San Antonio.
“Our members include independent flooring retailers, commercial contractors and supplier partners from across the country. They all share a connection to the people who make this industry work,” stated Brian Preuss, president of AHSG and Commercial USA. “When Scott Humphrey of the World Floor Covering Association (WFCA) shared FCIF’s mission from our stage, they gave $8,350 in just 10 minutes. AHSG was proud to match that, bringing the total to $16,700 for flooring families in need.”
Humphrey, who serves as vice chair of the FCIF board of directors in addition to his role as WFCA CEO, shared FCIF’s mission and the growing demand for assistance among flooring industry families. Attendees responded immediately with individual gifts, which were matched by a corporate gift from Bob Himmelreich of Pro-Tech Floors. AHSG and Commercial USA then matched the combined contributions.
