International Certified Flooring Installers (CFI) has unveiled its comprehensive floor covering installation training and certification courses scheduled through October. The education program offers a wide range of flooring types, including an expanded array of options in the commercial sector, and is taught by highly skilled and trained CFI instructors.
The schedule includes two- and three-day courses for the installation professional and a one- and five-week course for those looking to start their installation career or add a new flooring type to their repertoire. Upon completion of the certification courses, participants will receive their certifying credentials to showcase their new skills and knowledge.
“We’re proud to say that CFI is on a record pace for 2023 for the number of courses offered,” said John McHale, director of operations at CFI. “Recognizing the shift in the market and the need for specialized skills, we have expanded our training and certification offerings in the commercial flooring installation arena. Our commitment to providing comprehensive education and resources to industry professionals remains steadfast. We are confident these additional courses will equip our students with the knowledge and expertise needed to excel in this ever-evolving field.”
World Floor Covering Association (WFCA) COO Steve Abernathy added, “Our team has done an outstanding job in putting together this comprehensive training schedule, which underscores our ongoing efforts in recruiting and training new floor covering installers, but also to elevate the skill and craftsmanship of those already in the industry. It truly takes a collaborative effort between retailers, sponsors, and trainers to execute a program of this magnitude.”
