Delmhorst Instrument Co. has sold its business to Nielsen-Kellermen, a manufacturer and distributor of environmental and sports performance instruments. Financial details were not disclosed. Delmhorst CEO Tom Laurenzi and John Laurenzi, president, shared the following statement:
“Over the past 80 years, Delmhorst has had the privilege of serving the moisture measurement needs of the lumber, building trades and agricultural industries, rooted in William Delmhorst’s original meter design and guided by Aristide Laurenzi’s vision.
“After 64 years under Laurenzi family management and ownership, we have made the decision to sell Delmhorst Instrument. We have carefully chosen a successor in Nielsen-Kellerman (NK), who shares our core values and is deeply committed to maintaining the high standards of rugged, robust, U.S.-made products and technical expertise. NK will provide the vision, energy and resources to build on our legacy and take the Delmhorst brand to new heights.
“We are working together with the new team to ensure a seamless transition. Over the coming months, operations will be transitioned to NK’s state-of-the-art facility in Boothwyn, Pa. This move will bring expanded capabilities and resources.
