William Hensley of Totta Hardwood Flooring and QEP’s Kevin Keefe were named finalists of the Central U.S. Regionals for the upcoming National Installer of the Year contest. Hensley won in the hardwood category and Keefe in the carpet category, following a regional competition late last month at National Wood Flooring Association’s (NWFA) headquarters in Chesterfield, Mo.
Both winners received an award plaque, a $500 scholarship from Mohawk, and a trip to Las Vegas to compete in the National competition during The International Surface Event (TISE), Jan. 31 to Feb. 2, 2023, for a chance at the title.
Previously, David Beagle (hardwood) and Roy Lewis (carpet) were named finalists of the Southeast Regionals, which was held last summer during International Certified Flooring Installers Association’s (CFI) annual convention in Orlando, Fla.
The final Regionals event, Regionals West Coast, will be held Oct. 27-28 at the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT) training facility in San Leandro, Calif. Deadline for submission is Oct. 12.
