Dean Craft, president and chief operating officer of ISE Logik, a manufacturer of concrete moisture mitigation systems, was invited on April 12 to provide an educational seminar on major changes to ASTM 710 by the National Floor Covering Association (NFCA) of Canada (https://www.nfca.ca).
Craft led the ASTM committee and authorship of the changes that affect resilient flooring installation by the accurate measurement of pH in the concrete. High alkalinity can be a problem for adhesive performance and flooring failure.
Attendance was from across Canada, Australia, and South Africa.
“We were very pleased with the turnout. Our goal at NFCA is to create best practices in every aspect of floor installation,” said Chris Maskell CAE and CEO of NFCA.
