NAFCT Adds IICRC Certification Wood Floor Maintenance Technician to its List of Classes

The National Academy of Floor Covering Training (NAFCT) is proud to announce the addition of the IICRC Certification Wood Floor Maintenance Technician (WFMT) to its list of classes. IICRC-approved instructor Roy Reichow and the NAFCT are bringing the class to locations throughout the US and Canada with Classes already scheduled for Minneapolis, MN May 19-20 2016, and Toronto, Canada June 8-9 2016. Additional classes will be listed at NAFCT.com and IICRC.org as they come available.

The WFMT class consists of 14 hours of training over a course of two days. Emphasis is placed on teaching participants an overview of wood floor care that
 include initial, routine, periodic and restorative processes.

Introductory Course: Wood Floors Maintenance

This course was developed for individuals engaging in floor
maintenance. If you are currently a carpet cleaner technician, in the janitorial service industry and want to expand
your knowledge and services to include wood floor maintenance, this course is beneficial for you. The WFMT
 course teaches basic understanding of wood science, wood floor finish types, and proper care and maintenance.
 Completion of this course will provide you the academic and hands-on training to obtain WFMT certification. This
 certification will set you apart from competitors within the industry. There is currently wood flooring continuing education (CCU) courses
 available however; they do not hold the IICRC certification such as this course does.

Roy Reichow is an NWFA Regional Trainer, and holds NWFA certifications in Wood Floor Installation, Sanding and Finishing, Sales Counselor, Inspector and Commercial Inspector. He is an IICRC Certified Wood/Laminate Floor Inspector and a Wood Floor Maintenance Technician approved instructor. Roy Reichow has worked in the wood floor industry for over 40 years as a wood flooring contractor, estimator, and project manager. He has provided inspection, consulting and training to the wood floor industry since 2000.

He has also authored several articles published in Hardwood Floor Magazine, is a contributing author to The Journal of Cleaning, Restoration & Inspection, a publication of IICRC, along with many other publications. He is a sought after speaker, educator and leader in the wood floor industry.
