Nominations are open for International Certified Flooring Installers’ (CFI) annual awards programs—the Charles R. Gress Award, Chris Davis Achievement Award, Next Generation Award and CFI Hall of Fame Award—until Sept. 30. Awards will be presented during the Synergy 2026 convention in Chattanooga this November.
The Charles R. Gress Award is named in honor of the late installer Charles Gress (#355) and represents the highest level of recognition a certified installer can achieve. It honors installers “who consistently go above and beyond to uplift the installation community and demonstrate unwavering commitment to the advancement of the industry,” CFI said.
The Chris Davis Achievement Award is presented in memory of Chris Davis, the former president of the World Floor Covering Association (WFCA) who passed away in 2012. In honor of his legacy, this award recognizes professionals in the flooring industry who actively promote quality installation through their dedicated support of CFI.
The Next Generation Award is presented to a certified installer who represents CFI’s next generation of leaders. It honors installers who demonstrate strong leadership qualities and a commitment to the future of the industry.
The Hall of Fame Award honors a professional who has devoted a lifetime of service, talent, and dedication to CFI. This prestigious recognition celebrates a career marked by significant contributions to the organization and the industry.
