The National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA) is offering eight regional training programs and 22 free evening workshops across the U.S. this month. NTCA’s daylong, immersive regional training programs give installers practical experience with the latest tools, materials and techniques in accordance with ANSI standards and the TCNA Handbook for Ceramic, Glass and Stone Tile Installation methods. Additionally, the free, three-hour NTCA workshops combine classroom instruction, live demonstrations, small-group interaction, catered networking time and a chance to receive prizes and giveaways.
October NTCA regional programs will focus on “Interior Installation of Gauged Porcelain Tile Panels/Slabs” (GPTP/S) and “Substrate Preparation and Tile Industry Standards for Installation of Large-Format Tile” (LFT).
GPTP/S training will be offered: 10/1 at BPI in Georgetown, Texas; 10/8 at Architessa in Baltimore and Floor & Décor in Houston; 10/13 at Floor & Décor in Elizabeth, N.J.; 10/15 at BPI in Ft. Worth, Texas; 10/27 at Floor & Décor in Boynton Beach, Fla.; and 10/29 at Floor & Décor in North Charleston, S.C. Additionally, LFT training will be offered 10/22 at Daltile in Philadelphia.
Workshops will focus on one of these topics: “Failures—Could It Be Me?”; “Foundations of Wet Areas”; “Tile Matters: Best Practices for the Pros”; and “Tile Technology” covering either adhesives or membranes.
“Failures” will be offered 10/6 at The Tile Shop in Sterling Heights, Mich.; and 10/13 at Floor & Décor in Lexington, Ky., and Reno, Nev. “Foundations of Wet Areas” will be offered 10/1 at Louisville Tile in Evansville, Ind.; 10/5 at Daltile in Wichita, Kans., and Hartford, Conn.; 10/7 at Louisville Tile in Grand Rapids, Mich., and Daltile in Denver; 10/8 at Louisville Tile in South Bend, Ind.; 10/12 at Hank’s Specialties in Eau Claire, Wis.; 10/14 at Louisville Tile in Fort Wayne, Ind., and Daltile in Livermore, Calif.; and 10/15 at Louisville Tile in Fishers, Ind., and Daltile in Butler, Wis.
“Tile Matters” will be offered 10/13 at MSI in Maple Grove, Minn. “Tile Technology” will be offered at the following Floor & Décor locations: 10/6 in Syracuse, N.Y.; 10/8 in Timnath, Colo.; 10/20 in Manassas, Va.; 10/21 in Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Fredericksburg, Va.; 10/27 in Concord, N.C.; and 10/29 in Fort Myers, Fla.
