The National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA) will be offering 18 free workshops and nine regional programs this April to help installers, tile setters and contractors expand their industry knowledge.
NTCAโs Regional Trainings are day-long, immersive programs giving installers practical experience with the latest tools, materials and techniques in accordance with ANSI standards and the TCNA Handbook for Ceramic, Glass, and Stone Tile Installation methods. One of two subjects will be covered: either Interior Installation of Gauged Porcelain Tile Panels/Slabs or Substrate Preparation and Tile Industry Standards for Installation of Large-Format Tile.
Gauged Porcelain Tile Panels/Slabs sessions will be offered at these Daltile locations: 4/2 in Seattle and 4/16 in Bedford Heights, Ohio; as well as 4/2 at Floor & Dรฉcor in Silver Spring, Md.; 4/16 at United Tile in Orange, Calif.; 4/23 at Crossville Studios OKC in Oklahoma City; and 4/30 at Caesarstone in San Antonio, Texas and Wayne Tile Co. in Wayne, N.J. Large-Format Tile sessions will be offered at these Floor & Dรฉcor locations: 4/9 in Lewis Center, Ohio and 4/23 in Dorchester, Mass.
Workshops are free, three-hour sessions sharing industry standards, techniques and product innovations. They include classroom instruction, live demonstrations, small-group interaction, catered networking time and a chance to receive prizes and giveaways. The topic covered is one of the following: โTile Matters: Best Practices for the Prosโ; โFailures: Could it Be Me?โ; โIns and Outs of Layoutโ; โTile Technologyโ focusing either on Membranes or Adhesives; and โFoundations of Wet Areas.โ
Workshops will be held at these Floor & Dรฉcor locations: 4/7 in Cincinnati; 4/14 in Draper, Utah and Mooresville, N.C.; 4/21 in Wichita; 4/23 in Naples, Fla.; 4/28 in Arlington Heights, Ill.; and 4/29 and 4/30 in San Antonio, Texas; these Daltile locations: 4/15 in Greensboro, N.C.; 4/16 in Morrisville, N.C.; 4/20 in La Vista, Neb.; 4/21 in Maspeth, N.Y. and 4/23 in Arlington, Texas; these D&B Tile locations: 4/21 in Hialeah, Fla. and 4/22 in Sunrise, Fla.; as well as 4/28 at Texas Tile Supply in Abilene, Texas; 4/29 at MSI in Indianapolis and 4/30 at Emser Tile in Nashville.
