During the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA)’s first annual Leadership Development Summit—set for Oct. 10-12, at Live! by Loews Ballpark Village in St. Louis—the group will host an open house at its new headquarters in nearby St. Charles.
From 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 11, NWFA members will have the opportunity to tour the new facility which will serve as the association’s central hub for training, industry events and member activities. Located at 14 Research Park Drive, the headquarters is situated in Missouri Research Park, an area featuring walking trails, access to the Missouri River and proximity to local attractions, according to the NWFA.
“This move represents the next chapter for the NWFA as we expand our ability to support members and continue driving the wood flooring industry forward,” stated NWFA president & CEO, Michael Martin. “This open house will provide members with a firsthand look at our new space and the resources we have to support their growth.”
As part of the Summit, members can also attend the Real Answers Small Business Workshop, designed to equip NWFA contractors and retailers with tools for professional growth, business development and networking. The workshop will feature sessions led by the Small Business Administration (SBA) on finance, marketing and operations, and networking opportunities with industry leaders.
Doug Howard of Growth Team Strategies will moderate a panel of successful contractors including Chris Zizza of C&R Flooring, Steve Brattin of SVB Floors, Kevin Mullany of Benchmark Wood Floors, and John Lessick of Apex Wood Floors. The panel will share best practices for shaping the future of their companies and the industry.
The summit will culminate with the NWFA Education & Research Foundation Golf Tournament on Oct. 12, at Missouri Bluffs Golf Club.
