George Bandy, Jr. will deliver the keynote at this yearโ€™s Flooring Sustainability Summit, July 15-16 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C. Currently serving as vp and chief sustainability officer of Andersen Corp., Bandy has held senior sustainability roles at companies including Amazon, Mohawk Industries and Interface. He is also past chair of the board of Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI) and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

The Summit serves as a forum for manufacturers, distributors, architects, designers, policymakers, sustainability professionals, procurement leaders and value-chain partners to explore emerging policy frameworks, life-cycle transparency and collaborative approaches. It is co-hosted by the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI), North American Laminate Flooring Association (NALFA), Natural Stone Institute (NSI), National Terrazzo and Mosaic Association (NTMA), National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA), Resilient Floor Covering Institute (RFCI) and Tile Council of North America (TCNA).
