Women in the Floorcovering Industry (WIFI) will host a webinar on personal branding for its next WIFI Power Hour event, noon to 1 p.m. EST on Sept 18. Additionally, the group will host an educational session during the CFI/FCICA Convention at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Fla., 10 to 11 a.m. EST on Sept. 21.
The WIFI Power Hour webinar, “The Power of Personal Branding,” will feature Stacy Murphy, IIDA, NCIDQ, vice president of client development, APEX Group. She will discuss “the good and bad of social media, the importance of image and how to get comfortable putting yourself out there,” according to WIFI.

The educational session at the upcoming CFI/FCICA Convention, “How to Take Care of Yourself and Your Tribe,” will feature table topics covering issues including work-life balance, mental health, setting your mindset and expectations for success, women in leadership roles and how to build your network.

Additionally, WIFI will host a Power Hour webinar discussing “Flooring 101 – Manufacturing and Speaking the Language,” noon to 1 p.m. EST on Oct. 25. Industry consultant Lynne Peer of Peer Resource Group will explore various manufacturing processes for both carpet and resilient flooring and how they benefit the product for the end-user’s satisfaction. According to WIFI, “You will learn key terms needed as a professional for use in talking to internal and external customers, including the 100 most important words to know in flooring.”
