Institute for Floor Covering Inspectors International (IFCII) will be hosting its annual Advanced Commercial & Residential certification courses, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 21-24 at TownePlace Suites in Gainesville, Ga., and online.
The certifications cover the inspection of hardwood, ceramic tile and stone, and are led by IFCII founder Henri Carr and instructor Billy Simmons. Topics for the wood course are set to include wood characteristics, natural flaws, installation issues, proper tool use, verifying the accuracy of moisture readings, precision board and gap measurements, proving measurement accuracy, establishing averages, and concluding the inspection with confidence.
