Matt Bowles (luxury vinyl plank) and Allen Lewis (carpet) have been named The International Surface Event (TISE) Installers of the Year. They competed against six other installers for the grand prize—$3,000 and a heavyweight title belt—during TISE 2025 in Las Vegas.
Bowles is from Cre8tive Flooring in the United Kingdom; Lewis is from Eagle Interiors in Phenix City, Ala. Other competitors were, in LVP: Justin Lopez, D.S. Baxley, Livermore, Calif.; Tyler Elliot, The Edge, Elk River, Minn.; and Cesar Haro-Pena, Mike’s Custom Flooring, Redlands, Calif.; and in Carpet: Jose Michel, Michel’s Carpet, Everett, Wash.; Jesus Garcia, Cristino Flooring, Houston; and Hugo Gutierrez, Golden State Contract Flooring, Concord, Calif.
These installers went head-to-head during TISE 2025 after winning a regional contest at either T&A Supply in Seattle, All Surfaces in Chicago, International Certified Flooring Installers’ (CFI) training center in Dalton, Ga., or Big D Supply in Phoenix.
