The National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA) is holding 15 interactive training events in 11 states this month, comprising eight free workshops and seven regional trainings.
NTCA’s Regional Training programs offer an all-day, immersive experience where installers can refine their skills using advanced tools, materials and techniques aligning with ANSI standards and the TCNA Handbook for Ceramic, Glass, and Stone Tile Installation. Topics include:
- Standards-Based Installation of Gauged Porcelain Tile and Gauged Porcelain Tile Slabs
- Substrate Preparation and Large-Format Tile
- Substrate Preparation and Gauged Porcelain Tile Panels (GPTP)
Class sizes are limited to 20 participants. July events include, at Floor & Décor: 7/10 in Doral Fla.; 7/16-7/17 in Atlanta; and 7/17 in Algonquin, Ill.; as well as 7/10 at Virginia Tile in Plymouth, Minn.; 7/24 at Louisville Tile in Louisville; 7/24 at BPI in Nashville; and 7/31 at Tile Outlets of America in Tampa, Fla.
NTCA’s free, three-hour workshops are designed to keep installers updated on industry standards, techniques and product innovations with standards-based instruction, live demonstrations and networking opportunities. Topics include:
- The Ins and Outs of Layout
- Tile Matters: Best Practices for the Pros
- Failures: Could it Be Me?
- Tile Technology: Adhesives
- Tile Technology: Membranes
Workshops this month include, at Floor & Décor: 7/7 in Bridgeton, Mo.; 7/30 in Clermont, Fla.; and 7/31 in Rancho Cordova, Calif.; at Daltile: 7/15 in Butler, Wisc.; 7/22 in Fort Wayne, Ind.; 7/29 in Tampa, Fla.; and 7/31 in Lakewood, Fla.; as well as 7/25 at JP Flooring Design Center in Cincinnati.
