Jamie Betro of Betro Floorings Inc. and Jerry McNeight of Craftmark Installation Services have been named winners of the Minneapolis regional qualifier, held recently at Hank’s Specialties, for The International Surface Event (tise) Installer of the Year Competition. Betro won top honors in the Engineered Wood category, while McNeight clinched the top spot in Carpet.
Both men will now take their skills to tise 2026 in Las Vegas, where they will compete against the winners of qualifiers in Boston, Denver and Dalton, Ga. As previously reported, the Boston qualifier winners were Benny Powell in Engineered Wood and Doug Lamos Jr. in Carpet.
Denver’s qualifier will be held Oct. 11 at Cartwright Distributing, followed by the final regional at International Certified Flooring Installers’ (CFI) training facility in Dalton on Oct. 25.
