The National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA) has scheduled 22 free workshops and five regional training programs for July aimed at installers, tile setters, contractors, A&D professionals and salespeople.
NTCA’s Regional Training events are daylong, immersive programs designed to give installers practical experience with the latest tools, materials and techniques in accordance with ANSI standards and TCNA Handbook for Ceramic, Glass and Stone Tile Installation methods. The programs focus on either “Interior Installation of Gauged Porcelain Tile Panels/Slabs” or “Substrate Preparation and Tile Industry Standards for Installation of Large-Format Tile.”
Regional Trainings on Gauged Porcelain Tile Panels/Slabs will be offered 7/16 at Floor & Décor in Pleasant Hill, Calif.; 7/23 at Louisville Tile Distributors in Louisville, and Arizona Tile in Anaheim, Calif.; and 7/28 at Floor & Décor in Mission Viejo, Calif. Substrate preparation regional training will be offered 7/30 at Daltile in Nashville.
NTCA workshops are free sessions combining classroom instruction, live demonstrations, small-group interaction, catered networking time, and a chance to receive prizes and giveaways. Topics are either “Tile Matters: Best Practices for the Pros”; “Failures—Could it Be Me?”; “Tile Technology” covering Membranes or Adhesives; and “Foundations of Wet Areas.”
“Adhesives” will be held 7/16 at Floor & Décor in Covington, La.; 7/21 at The Tile Shop in Rockville, Md.; 7/23 at Daltile in St. George, Utah; and 7/30 at Floor & Décor in Humble, Texas.
“Failures” will be held 7/22 at Floor & Décor in Grapevine, Texas; and 7/27 at Floor & Décor in North Richland Hills, Texas.
“Foundations of Wet Areas” will be held 7/13 at Floor & Décor in Atlanta and Thornton, Colo.; 7/14 at Daltile in Reno, Nev., and Roanoke, Va.; 7/15 at Daltile in Loxley, Ala.; 7/20 at Floor & Décor in Tolleson, Ariz.; 7/21 at Daltile in Beaumont, Texas; 7/22 at Daltile in Las Vegas; and 7/23 at Daltile in Houston.
“Membranes” will be held 7/14 at Floor & Décor in Colorado Springs, Colo.; 7/16 at Floor & Décor in Virginia Beach, Va., and Daltile in Albuquerque; and 7/28 at Floor & Décor in Plano, Texas.
“Tile Matters” will be held 7/16 at Floor & Décor in Schererville, Ind.; and 7/21 at Floor & Décor in Santa Ana, Calif.
