Flooring Consultants & Inspection Training Services (FCITS) has added flooring industry veteran Paul Sneed to its instructional team. Sneed will make his FCITS debut Aug. 20-21 in San Antonio, Texas, leading the organization’s Rigid Core Technical Certification course.
Sneed brings more than 43 years of experience with Shaw Industries, where he held leadership roles including product training manager and leadership facilitator. His background spans product knowledge, measuring and estimating, installation, and technical and leadership education.
“Paul has a proven ability to take complex technical information and make it practical and accessible,” said Beth Sorrell, FCITS exec dir. “His depth of knowledge and approach to training make him an excellent addition to the FCITS instructional team.”
The San Antonio training will be held as part of the World Floor Covering Association’s (WFCA) fourth Step Up Tour stop of the year, hosted by O’Krent Floors. The Step Up Tour takes WFCA across the country to recognize industry leaders and share how members are strengthening their businesses, teams and communities with support from WFCA programs and resources.
The two-day program focuses on helping flooring professionals prevent costly failures and make better decisions in the field, with training in site evaluation, installation best practices, failure investigation and documentation. No prerequisites are required, and participants earn FCITS Technical Certification upon successful completion.
