Certified Flooring Installers (CFI) has named Ray Clark executive director, effective immediately. Clark will be responsible for “guiding CFI’s continued growth while advancing its longstanding mission to elevate the installation profession through education, certification and industry collaboration,” CFI said.
“CFI attracted a strong field of candidates, and Ray stood out for his record of growing organizations, building partnerships and connecting education with workforce needs,” stated Scott Humphrey, CEO of the World Floor Covering Association (WFCA). “He pairs strategic vision with a collaborative leadership style and genuine respect for the people and technical expertise behind CFI. That combination makes him the right leader to carry CFI’s legacy forward and expand its impact.”
Clark brings more than a decade of executive leadership in construction-related industries. Most recently, he served as executive director of the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) Foundation, where he worked with its board of trustees to expand educational programs, strengthen fundraising and deepen relationships between industry and academia. Previously, he led Georgia/Carolinas PCI, overseeing operations, membership, education and industry outreach.
Clark will lead CFI’s strategy and operations, working closely with its staff, instructors, members and industry partners. His priorities include broadening access to CFI’s training and certification programs, expanding the installer pipeline and increasing awareness of professional installation as a skilled and rewarding career.
“CFI has earned a respected name over decades through the technical expertise and passion of its people,” Clark said. “My priority is to listen to and learn from our installers, instructors, members, staff and industry partners. By bringing those voices together, we can build on CFI’s strong foundation, create even greater value for flooring professionals and expand the organization’s reach and impact.”
