FCITS (Flooring Consultants and Inspection Training Service) and CFI (Certified Flooring Installers) will partner for an advanced training program in Dalton, Ga., April 21-24.
The technical certification training programs are open to inspectors, installers, sales teams, estimators and general contractors. Participants may attend one or both courses, with no prerequisite for attending. Installers and inspectors will receive the appropriate certifications and/or continuing education credits as required.
The FCITS Advanced Resilient Technical Certification is set for April 21-22, focusing on resilient flooring installation, troubleshooting and reporting best practices. Topics include installation techniques for LVT/LVP and SPC, subfloor preparation and adhesives, and plank replacement as well as an in-depth report writing session and mill tour of a resilient flooring facility. Manufacturer representatives will also participate, and claims managers will review and critique the reports.
CFI Soft Modular Tile Technical Certification is scheduled for April 23-24 and is meant for flooring professionals including installers, inspectors, sales teams, estimators and project managers looking to receive technical training in commercial carpet tile.
CFI will simultaneously offer Soft Modular Tile Installer Certification. This certification combines a written examination to evaluate technical knowledge with a hands-on skills assessment to confirm proper installation techniques. A minimum of two years of installation experience is required.
