The Certified Flooring Installers Association (CFI) has announced that registration is now open for the 29th Annual Convention & Expo, set for Aug. 2-4 at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Fla. This year’s event, themed “Elevate—take your career to the next level,” will aim to “connect, educate, entertain and inspire floor covering installation professionals to elevate their skills, businesses and the profession,” according to event organizers.
Since 1993, CFI’s Annual Conference & Expo has brought together installers, manufacturers, suppliers, and retailers to stay up to date on best practices and new techniques, network with peers, obtain certifications, attend hands-on training, and stay informed on the latest tools and services. In addition to educational seminars and workshops, CFI will host its third annual golf tournament at the Shingle Creek Golf Club.
CFI’s 2022 Convention & Expo education lineup features a wide-ranging program designed to address all areas of the flooring installation business. The opening session will kick off Tuesday, Aug. 2, with Scott Humphrey, CEO of parent organization the World Floor Covering Association (WFCA), who will highlight CFI’s legacy and vision for driving significant impact in the industry.
Jim Aaron, executive director of the Floor Covering Education Foundation (FCEF), will deliver the keynote message “The FCEF – An Agent for Change.” The convention will host several additional featured speakers, panel discussions, hands-on sessions and opportunities to network before and after the conference.
Thursday, Aug 4, marks the opening of the Exhibit Hall, where industry manufacturers and service providers will showcase their latest products and services to help attendees further develop their professional and technical skills.
“If you are a flooring installation professional, the CFI Convention & Expo is the place you need to be to elevate your career to the next level,” said Humphrey. “There is no other convention like it–CFI is a tight-knit group of hard-working, loyal and proud individuals who are driven by the pursuit of excellence. This experience will make attendees more confident and excited to be in this industry. You do not want to miss it.”
“Attendance at the CFI 2022 Convention & Expo is open to all–members and non-members,” noted John McHale, CFI operations manager. “Last year, we saw a record 73 first-time attendees who were inspired by this group’s enthusiasm, support and camaraderie. The connections made here with manufacturers and peers only happen when people come together.”
