FCICA Welcomes 15 New CIMs, Announces Scholarship

FCICA held a “2 Days to Certified Installation Manager (CIM)” training event last month in Carlstadt, N.J., hosted by Michael Halebian & Co. Fifteen flooring professionals participated to become newly designated CIMs.

Matt Bevers, Floors Inc. – Lincoln; Fran Difilippo, Network Flooring & Maintenance; Alaina Frango, Pride Flooring Services; Will Grube, Flooring Central; Przemyslaw Grzesik, Consolidated Flooring; Will Hill, Kiefer USA, a Diverzify Company; Trey Mason, Flooring Central; Glenn Mitz, Consolidated Flooring; Colin and Joseph Pargoe, Network Flooring & Maintenance; Adam Picchione, Bare Flooring; Christopher Russo, Chelsea Floor Covering; Adam Shea, Kiefer USA, a Diverzify Company; Mike Walsh, O’Connor’s Carpet Center and Tom Wickwire, Floors Inc. – Omaha.

Don Styka, CIM, Tarkett, served as mentor. Participants were also invited to a social gathering at a local wine bar, sponsored by Michael Halebian and H.B. Fuller/TEC.

In a related announcement, FCICA in partnership with Ardex Americas is accepting applications for the Bruce Newbrough Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship, valued at $1,225, will enable a flooring professional to distinguish themselves from their peers by enrolling in and completing the CIM Program. To be considered, complete and submit the online application here: https://members.fcica.com/form/Fill/Lz8Qncjp. The deadline is Sunday, June 30, 2024.

The Bruce Newbrough Memorial Scholarship was established to provide educational opportunities to floor covering installation managers who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to and excellence in proper substrate preparation and flooring installation. Bruce Newbrough, as Ardex director of technical services and later applications development, tirelessly shared his passion for industry education and training on proper substrate preparation.
