iQ Power Tools, a manufacturer of premium power tools with integrated dust collection systems, was recognized with a “Best Of” Innovation Award for its iQ252 dry cut bridge saw during The International Surface Event (TISE) earlier this month at Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
The “Best Of” Awards is an annual awards program for exhibiting companies whose product, program, service, business practice and/or booth design are considered to be “Best Of” in their class.
Paul Guth, iQ’s president of product development, stated the team was thrilled to have received the Innovation Award. “We all worked very hard to develop this technology, and this proves that our perseverance paid off. As our industry advances, the need for safe, efficient and quality tools becomes more and more of a reality. Winning this innovation award proves that we are developing products that our industry demands.”
The iQ252 is a 10” dry cut bridge saw designed for tile setters and contractors, equipped with the world’s first fully integrated dust control technology that allows for tiles to be cut indoors or outdoors with no water, according to the company. The saw features a 10” blade that can produce a depth cut up to 1” and can handle a 60” rip with one pass.
“Our team has to stay on the frontline of product and innovation for our industry,” stated Jim Mackall, president of iQ. “The reactions of attendees at TISE were very positive. Contractors had the opportunity to actually use the saw, offer ideas and now eagerly wait for its actual production and availability, both of which we anticipate later this year.”
