Uzin Utz North America recently began construction on a $34 million, 125,000 sq. ft. facility in Waco, Texas. The manufacturing plant will initially produce self-leveling compounds, patches, thin sets and grouts. The site will also host the company’s training center for all brands, and act as the central location for R&D.
The plant is estimated to be operational by this fall.
According to the company the plant will generate approximately 40 new jobs, and increase the overall production capacities of all Uzin powder products. Additionally, the site will “provide customers closer proximity to training, logistics and technical services,” the company said.

Waco will mark the third location in North America for Uzin Utz North America. Other locations include a manufacturing facility in Dover, Del., and a distribution facility in Aurora, Colo. The Uzin Utz Group also operates manufacturing facilities in Germany, the Netherlands, France, Poland, Switzerland, Slovenia, Indonesia and China.
