Sika is one of the main product sponsors of the Installer of the Year Competition, which will be held during The International Surface Event (tise) in Las Vegas later this month. Eight installers—the winners of regional contests held last year in Boston, Minneapolis, Denver and Dalton, Ga.—will compete for the National Installer of the Year title and a championship belt, in the engineered wood and carpet categories.
Shane Jenkins, technical director for Sika Corp.’s interior finishing business unit, will once again be featured as a judge. Additionally, Sika will supply components of the Sika Secure System for the competition, which includes flooring adhesive, primer and self-leveling underlayment.

Along with Certified Flooring Installers (CFI) which manages the installation competition, this is a first-class partnership with an association that does a tremendous job supporting the flooring industry,” Jenkins stated. “The competition turnout each year always exceeds expectations.
